In Spring 2022, Fountains Integrated Care Home Service (FICHS) conducted a satisfaction survey of the 22 care homes under its care.  The survey was distributed via email to all shared and individual email addresses held for each home.

The purpose of the survey was to help identify and prioritise the improvements that are most important to care home staff and to objectively assess FICHS overall performance.

We obtained 4 responses which provided positive feedback.  When asked how satisfied the care homes were with the FICHS service, on average, managers reported the service as ‘good’ or ‘excellent’.

The survey has been categorised into three key areas:  administration, ward rounds and emergency issues.  Future surveys will mirror this so that survey results can be compared, and FICHS performance assessed over time.

Managers comments:

“Dr Minshall is our ward round GP we find him to be very efficient and thorough, he explains in great detail and is always willing to listen and help with any concerns we have.  Dr Minshall will always return our calls if he is not available when we ring for advice.  Dr Minshall always takes time to speak with the residents and their families.  We are very pleased with all the GPs that visit and the service they provide.”

“We have built an excellent working relationship with the surgery and the GP’s and feel supported as I hope they feel supported by us.  GPs know the residents and are really caring about them as well as their symptoms.”

“Dr Crasta is friendly and approachable.  Able to discuss concerns with him.”
